ABOUT JOHN

John Philip is a New York cabaret performer and actor whose work is rooted in music, storytelling and a belief in the power of live performance to entertain, uplift and connect. His career has followed an unconventional path through theater, film, television and law, ultimately bringing him back to the stage and the work he first loved. His acting credits include a principal role in the Merchant-Ivory film The Bostonians, daytime television and numerous Off-Off Broadway productions. A longtime student of legendary cabaret artist Marilyn Maye, John brings warmth, humor and an abiding curiosity to his performances, inviting audiences into a shared experience of music, laughter and possibility.
